'Winter Fire' by Pete Wongkongkathep

"We had 24 hour nonstop snow storm on the second day in Tombstone. It turned out that winter arrived Yukon two weeks early (which means we missed red tundra Fall colors by two weeks). The good thing is the storm decorates Mount Monolith pretty nicely. The morning when I shot this was extremely cold. My tripod legs were frozen and could not be extended. I ended up had to boil water and pour it before going out shooting. I was able to extend and set up my tripod once. But the temperature was so cold that it refreeze pretty quickly. It was getting worse actually haha."
